Introduction:
Irene Knitwear Limited is a 100% export oriented Knit and woven Garments manufacturer in Bangladesh. Our factory is located on the eastern side of Dhaka city. Our factory is only 40 minutes’ drive from Pan pacific Sonargoan Hotel and 1 hour 15 minutes’ drive from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Our factory has 20000 square feet per floor and having 80000 square feet owned building. We have very skilled official and technical team as well as top management also .Our mottos are to satisfy the customer first. We have total three factories and one of the grown up leading group of Bangladesh.

Factory Facilities:
A) House Keeping Team: The factory has a House keeping Team for maintaining neat and tidy environment and atmosphere in accordance with the Health and Safety Act of our country.
B) Medical Facilities: The workers enjoy free health care benefits and Medicare. We have a qualified Doctor who visits our factory every working day of week.
C) Evacuation Plan: Detailed diagram kept in the floors of the factory showing direction for all employees to run out in case of any emergency situation.
D) Emergency Exits: We have one extra exit in all the floors for use by the workers in case of any emergency in the factory.
E) Fire Door Establishment: We have installed fire door to our entire factory in accordance with the Health & Safety Act of our county.
F) Fire Detection & Protection System: The factory is covered by fire detection and Protection system where all the floors are installed with conventional fire detectors and conventional fire alarm bells and also fire hydrant systems.
G) Fire Drills: We have Fire Fighting Equipment in the factory as per Factory Act and in order to use them effectively as and when required we have a Fire Fighting Team who are specially trained to deal with any fire emergency. We have arrangement for Fire Drills on regular basis i.e., once every month so that the team can perform their duty effectively when required.
H) First Aid Boxes: For every 20 workers we have a person trained in First Aid and Medicare. We keep certain quantity of medicine of different types in a First Aid Box in each floor for employees to use as First Aid.
I) Surveillance: The factory is under full coverage of CCTV for maintaining strict Surveillance measures.

Quality control policy
In each stage of production we maintain close monitoring and ensure quality. In Irene Knitwear Limited,responsibilities for ensuring proper quality are as follows:
a) The primary responsibility lies with the factory where garments are made. Factory quality control staffs will ensure proper quality as per laid down quality control system.
b) Quality control staffs working directly under Production Director/ Managing Director will closely monitor quality of the factory production. In case of any quality problem they will report to the concerned and corrective action will be taken accordingly.
Knitting Section
01. Before knitting, we check yarn-by-yarn counting machines.
02. We also check Naps, Dead yarns, Hairy ness, foreign fiber, etc are checking our in house lab.
03. Grey GSM is controlled by stretch length checking for controlling finishing GSM.
Sewing Section
In process quality control (sewing) during sewing “in process quality control” is done by selecting seven pieces at random from a completed bundle (maximum 180 pcs.) after checking bundle will be passed for zero defect based on AQL 2.5 in case one or more defects are found in seven pcs. Whole bundle will be sent to concerned supervisor for rechecking.
Finishing Section
In finishing section quality control is ensured in three stages.
01. Fabric dia, fabric unevenness, GSM are checked.
02. Fabric crease mark, sinker mark, hole, skewing, needle mark, Fabric hairy ness, dead fiber, naps and etc are checked.
03. Also, we are checking color fastness, shrinkage, rubbing appearance after retention and fabric strength.
Cutting Section
In cutting section quality control is ensured in two stages.
Following points are checked during spreading
a. Table marking
b. Ends
c. Tension
d. Leaning
e. Narrow goods
f. Counts
g. Ply height
h. Remnants
i. Fabric flaws
j. Marker placing
After each cutting seven blocks and bundles are selected at random
checked based on acceptable quality level (AQL) 2.5 on the flowing points:
a) MIS cut, b) Ragged cutting, c) Pattern checks, d) Matching plies, e) Notches

Our knitting is being operated in floor space of 16000 sft and total manpower engaged to running the unit is 62.
